NBR Circular no. 3/2002 regarding the NBR's reference rate, applied starting with February 2002
Pursuant to Law No. 101/1998 - The NBR Statute and the recent monetary and macroeconomic developments, the NBR's Board of Directors decides the following:
- Starting 1 February 2002, provisions on the official discount rate set forth in Circular No. 11/1198 regarding the interest rates applied by the NBR are repealed.
- As from the same date the NBR's reference rate shall be calculated on a monthly basis and shall be made public on the first working day of every month via NBR circulars.
- The NBR reference interest rate calculated for February is 34.6 percent per year.
