This website is best viewed with Internet Explorer 6.0+, at a screen resolution of 1024x768. Correct functioning is also ensured for all HTML 4.01/ CSS 2 compatible browsers: Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, Apple Safari.

• Opening PDF files

  PDF files can be viewed and printed using Adobe Reader. Download may take up to a few minutes depending on your Internet connection speed. Adobe Reader is available for free on the Adobe website.
  

• Opening DOC and XLS files

  Editing these file types requires installing Microsoft Office or a compatible software suite (OpenOffice or LibreOffice, for example).

  To view 'doc' and 'xls' you may install the free versions of Word Viewer and Excel Viewer.

• The menu is shown all the time

  The website's main menu, the Interactive Database, as well as other pages use JavaScript modules. Make sure your browser has the JavaScript option enabled.
  

• STATISTICS – accessing the Interactive Database

  Historical data series are available in Statistics > Interactive Database.

  In order to view or download certain data series, please follow the next steps:

  1. Select the desired indicators from the tree menu (the groups may be enlarged by clicking on ).
  2. Press the "Generate statistics" button for the items you are interested in; a table containing the latest figures for the concerned series will be displayed on screen.
  3. Below the table there are options for selecting the time interval of the series (the preselected option is All available data).
  4. Press one of the control buttons of the series display format as follows:
     • HTML - opens in the current window,
     • Excel, XML and CSV - for data export in one of the three specific formats.

  For quick access, select the HTML option and save the address of the webpage (URL). For example, the daily ROBID overnight values can be viewed directly at http://www.bnr.ro/StatisticsReportHTML.aspx?icid=801&table=642&column=3561.

• Error while exporting statistical data in Excel 

  Sometimes the name of the xls file generated by the exporting facility included in the Interactive database is quite long. The full path length of the Microsoft Excel document cannot be longer than 218 characters (the path includes the drive letter or server name, and all characters and folder names up to and including the name of the document). To correct this error save the file in a location that has fewer nested folders, for example on your Desktop.

• Printing pages from the website

  The footer section of each page contains, among others, the "Print" option. Clicking it will open open the print dialogue window. This option requires JavaScript to be enabled. The resulting page is specially formatted for printing and does not contain the website menu or side columns.

• Modify newsletter options/ Unsubscribe

  Each e-mail received from the NBR's website newsletter service includes an endnote with a link to your personal administration page. This page allows you to modify subscription options or even to unsubscribe.
