In 2015 the Museum of the National Bank of Romania participated for the first time in the European cultural event “The Night of Museums”. Therefore, on May 16th our bank invited the public to visit a mini-exhibition titled “Gold from the Vault”, presented at the entrance of our institution, in str. Doamnei no. 8.

Over 2500 visitors could enjoy a mini-exhibition of gold ingots from our Museum that were displayed in an especially designed showcase with a relevant informational support. The public was shown a documentary film on gold, produced in cooperation with the National Broadcasting Channel, on TV screens displayed on the frontage of the bank. The façade of the institution was lit up in an especially designed spotlight show.

The participation of the National Bank of Romania in the museum circuit within the above program was part of a series of events dedicated to the celebration of 135 years since the establishment of our central bank in 2015.
