The Museum of the National Bank of Romania has reopened its gates to children between April 6 – 10 2015, as part of the program “Another Kind of School: Being Better, Knowing More”. More than 1000 children, full of admiration and visibly interested, have visited our permanent exhibition in the Old Palace of the National Bank.

They were received by our guides and taken on a fascinating journey in time, embarking on the more than 13 decades-long journey of the Central Bank, as well as learning important pages of the history of money on the present-day territory of Romania – reaching from premonetary signs to the establishment of the Romanian monetary system and to the modern history of the lei.
