More than 1,200 pupils visited the Museum of the National Bank of Romania between April 7th and April 11th 2014, as part of the program: Another Kind of School: Being Better, Knowing More”. The children found an “impressive”, “full of history”, and “surprising” museum. The biggest attraction was by far our Gold from the ThesAururs (Gold from the Vault), with its gold ingots and coins. They showed a special interest for “the rooster scale model”, “the lova taller”, “and the celebration coins” (medals) and ‘the old banknotes of the lei”.
Our youngest guests were children in the first grade and the oldest were high school students.
