What is a QR code
The image to the right is called a QR code and represents a web address (URL).
QR or Quick Response enables users to quickly access web pages from their mobile devices, without typing the actual address.
How QR codes works
A QR code is two-dimensional barcode that stores data. Mobile phones equipped with cameras and dedicated software can scan this code to decode the address and save it as a bookmark.
How to use QR codes
- Scan the image using the QR Scanner or a similar application installed on your mobile phone;
- Allow the software to go online;
- Your phone's web browser will open the mobile version of the requested page (in this case, the QR code to the right points to http://www.bnr.ro/mobile_fxr.aspx).
