Press release: Regional Seminar on Financial Stability

The 9th edition of the Regional Seminar on Financial Stability, entitled “Macroprudential Policy at Work: Systemic Risk and Macroprudential Instruments”, took place in Sinaia between the 22nd and the 23th of October. The seminar was jointly organized by the National Bank of Romania and the International Monetary Fund.

In the opening session of the seminar, the introductory speech and presentations were delivered by Mr. Liviu Voinea, Deputy Governor, National Bank of Romania, Ms. Andrea Schaechter, Mission chief for Romania, International Monetary Fund and Mr. Francesco Mazzaferro, Head of Secretariat, European Systemic Risk Board.

The seminar was attended by specialists from the National Bank of Romania and the International Monetary Fund, as well as by experts from 18 central banks (Austria, Belarus, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Germany, Greece, Israel, the Republic of Moldova, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine, Hungary), and representatives of international and national stakeholders.
