Pursuant to the provisions of Law No. 312/2004 on the Statute of the National Bank of Romania, as of 30 May 2016, the National Bank of Romania will put into circulation, for numismatic purposes, a silver coin dedicated to the anniversary of 210 years of industrial exploitation of the Borsec mineral natural waters.
The coin has the following technical characteristics:

- Weight: 31.103 g

- Edge: milled
Obverse: a partial depiction of the town of Borsec, the inscription “ROMANIA”, the coat of arms of Romania, the face value “10 LEI” and the year of issue “2016”.
Reverse: a vintage image of a workshop for the bottling of mineral water, the inscriptions “EXPLOATAREA APELOR MINERALE NATURALE”, “BORSEC” and “1806”, the year of the celebrated event.
The silver coins are individually housed in transparent plastic capsules. They are accompanied by leaflets featuring a presentation of the numismatic issue in Romanian, English and French. Each leaflet comes with a certificate of authenticity bearing the signatures of the Governor and the Chief Cashier of the National Bank of Romania.
The mintage of this issue is 200 silver coins.
The selling price is lei 345.00, VAT excluded, per silver coin, including the leaflet.
The silver coins dedicated to the anniversary of 210 years of industrial exploitation of the Borsec mineral natural waters are legal tender on the territory of Romania.
The silver coins will be put into circulation, for numismatic purposes, through the branches of the National Bank of Romania in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iaşi and Timişoara.
