Numismatic issue dedicated to 100 years since the establishment of the General Association of Sports Hunters and Fishermen in Romania

Should a numismatic issue fall short of the coins intended for online reservation, please be informed that items may be purchased directly from the counters of the NBR’s regional branches, without reservation, starting 12 June 2023.


Pursuant to the provisions of Law No. 312/2004 on the Statute of the National Bank of Romania, as of 12 June 2023, the National Bank of Romania will put into circulation for numismatic purposes a silver coin dedicated to 100 years since the establishment of the General Association of Sports Hunters and Fishermen in Romania.

The coin has the following specifications:

Obverse
Reverse

Obverse: the headquarters of the General Association of Sports Hunters and Fishermen in Bucharest, the inscription “ROMANIA” in an arc, the coat of arms of Romania, the face value “10 LEI” and the year of issue “2023”.

Reverse: the silhouettes of a fisherman, a hunter and a hunting dog, and the inscriptions “ASOCIATIA GENERALA A VANATORILOR SI PESCARILOR SPORTIVI” and “100 ANI”.

The silver coins, housed in transparent plastic capsules, will be accompanied by certificates of authenticity in Romanian, English and French, bearing the signatures of the NBR Governor and the Chief Cashier.

The maximum mintage is 5,000 silver coins.

The selling price for the silver coin, including the certificate of authenticity, is lei 460.00, VAT excluded.

The silver coins dedicated to 100 years since the establishment of the General Association of Sports Hunters and Fishermen in Romania are legal tender on the territory of Romania.

The coins will be put into circulation, for numismatic purposes, through the regional branches of the National Bank of Romania in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Constanța, Craiova, Iași and Timișoara.
