Numismatic issue dedicated to Constantin Brâncuși – Romanian sources and universal perspectives

Pursuant to the provisions of Law No. 312/2004 on the Statute of the National Bank of Romania,

In accordance with Article 48 of Law No. 312/2004 on the Statute of the National Bank of Romania,

The National Bank of Romania put into circulation for numismatic purposes, as of 26 January 2024, a silver coin dedicated to Constantin Brâncuși – Romanian sources and universal perspectives.

The coin has the following specifications:

Obverse
Reverse

Obverse: part of the building of the National Art Museum in Timișoara, the inscription “ROMANIA” in an arc, the coat of arms of Romania, the face value “10 LEI” and the year of issue “2024”.

Reverse: the portrait and the name of Constantin Brâncuși and his birth and death years, “1876” and “1957”.

The silver coins, housed in transparent plastic capsules, are accompanied by certificates of authenticity, in Romanian, English and French. Each certificate of authenticity bears the signatures of the Governor and the Chief Cashier of the National Bank of Romania.

The maximum mintage is 5,000 silver coins.

The selling price for the silver coin, including the certificate of authenticity, is lei 460.00, VAT excluded.

The silver coins dedicated to Constantin Brâncuși – Romanian sources and universal perspectives are legal tender on the territory of Romania.

The coins are put into circulation, for numismatic purposes, through the regional branches of the National Bank of Romania in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Constanța, Craiova, Iași and Timișoara.
