As of 28 October 2024, the National Bank of Romania will put into circulation, for numismatic purposes, a silver coin to mark 150 years since the birth of Constantin I. Parhon.

Obverse: an image of the C.I. Parhon National Institute of Endocrinology in Bucharest, an excerpt from the foundation decree issued by King Michael I, the inscription “ROMANIA” in an arc, the face value “10 LEI”, the coat of arms of Romania, and the year of issue “2024”.
Reverse: the portrait of endocrinologist Constantin I. Parhon in his laboratory, his name and birth and death years, “1874” and “1969”.
The silver coins are housed in transparent plastic capsules and are accompanied by booklets featuring a presentation of the numismatic issue and certificates of authenticity in Romanian, English and French. The certificates of authenticity bear the signatures of the Governor and the Chief Cashier of the National Bank of Romania.
The maximum mintage is 5,000 silver coins.
The selling price for the silver coin, including the leaflet and the certificate of authenticity, is lei 530.00, VAT excluded.
The silver coins to mark 150 years since the birth of Constantin I. Parhon are legal tender on the territory of Romania.
The coins are put into circulation, for numismatic purposes, through the regional branches of the National Bank of Romania in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Constanța, Craiova, Iași and Timișoara.
