Should a numismatic issue fall short of the coins intended for online reservation, please be informed that items may be purchased directly from the counters of the NBR’s regional branches, without reservation, starting 18 November 2024.
As of 18 November 2024, the National Bank of Romania will put into circulation, for numismatic purposes, a gold coin and a silver coin to mark 300 years since the building of Stavropoleos Monastery Church in Bucharest.

Reverse (common to both coins): the Stavropoleos Church and the inscription in an arc reading “BISERICA MANASTIRII STAVROPOLEOS – 300 DE ANI”.
The gold and silver coins are housed in transparent plastic capsules and are accompanied by booklets featuring a presentation of the numismatic issue and certificates of authenticity in Romanian, English and French. The certificates of authenticity bear the signatures of the Governor and the Chief Cashier of the National Bank of Romania.
The maximum mintage is 1,000 for the gold coin and 5,000 for the silver coin.
The selling price for the gold coin, including the booklet and the certificate of authenticity, is lei 4,200.00, VAT excluded. The selling price for the silver coin, including the booklet and the certificate of authenticity, is lei 540.00, VAT excluded.
The gold and silver coins to mark 300 years since the building of Stavropoleos Monastery Church in Bucharest are legal tender on the territory of Romania.
The coins are put into circulation, for numismatic purposes, through the regional branches of the National Bank of Romania in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Constanța, Craiova, Iași and Timișoara.
