Banca Naţională a României

The Bank Deposit Guarantee Fund advises of the following:

1. As already known, during 9 October - 30 November 2000, several units of Banca Română de Dezvoltare - Groupe Société Générale are making payments representing compensations granted by the Bank Deposit Guarantee Fund to individuals who held deposits with Banca Internaţională a Religiilor, which is currently under bankruptcy proceedings.

2. The depositors whose identification data were incomplete as of 9 October 2000 and therefore were not scheduled for collecting the compensation, but who have subsequently clarified their situation are asked to come to the units of Banca Internaţională a Religiilor starting 3 November 2000, to take notice of the scheduling of payments and of the bank branch which will make the payment by 30 November 2000.

3. After 30 November 2000, the compensation payments will be made through the pay-office of the Fund or by Post-Office order provided that the depositors have clarified their identification data with the receivers of Banca Internaţională a Religiilor, based on a petition submitted to the Bank Deposit Guarantee Fund.
