The Bank Deposit Guarantee Fund informs the public that 30 November 2000 was the deadline for the payment, through the units of Banca Română de Dezvoltare - Groupe Société Générale, of compensations to the individual depositors with Banca Internaţională a Religiilor - which is currently undergoing bankruptcy proceedings.

In accordance with the legal provisions, depositors who did not come to the territorial units of Banca Română de Dezvoltare - Groupe Société Générale may collect the due compensation during the next three years since the date when the payments were started, i.e. until 9 October 2003.

Compensations may be collected only based on a petition submitted to the Bank Deposit Guarantee Fund, which must include:

• the identification data of the depositor (first and last name, ID series and number, personal identification number, address, telephone number);

• the reason, in short, for not collecting the due compensation from Banca Română de Dezvoltare - Groupe Société Générale by 30 November 2000;

• the option for the collection means (presentation in person to the Fund's premises, with prior scheduling or postal order, with the deduction of postal expenses from the compensation).

A photocopy of the ID shall be enclosed in the petition.

The petitions shall be sent to the Bank Deposit Guarantee Fund, 42-48 Dr. Staicovici Street, Sector 5, 76202 - Bucharest.

The Fund will make the payments for the compensations provided that the depositors have clarified their identification data with the receivers of Banca Internaţională a Religiilor.

After examining the petitions, the Bank Deposit Guarantee Fund shall notify each depositor of the date and time when he/she is to collect the compensation.
