Greek Drachma

Starting 1 January 2001, the National Bank of Romania will make changes in the list of the exchange rates of the foreign exchange market, following the inclusion of the Greek Drachma in the single European currency.
Henceforth, the exchange rate of leu against this currency shall be calculated the same as for the other component currencies, by applying the irrevocable rate of the Greek Drachma (released by the European Central Bank) to the exchange rate of leu against the euro.
