Medium- and long-term external debt moved up 2.7 per cent against December 2001, amounting to USD 12,005 million at end-April 2002.
At end-April 2002, public and publicly guaranteed debt stood at USD 7,935 million, accounting for 66.1 per cent of the medium- and long-term debt (against 66 percent at end-December 2001). Private external debt rose by 2.5 per cent, reaching USD 4,069 million at end-April 2002.
