The period for the payment of compensations for deposits held with the insolvent bank Bankcoop S.A., whose depositors were granted compensations by the Bank Deposit Guarantee Fund, has ended. According to the list submitted by the official receivers of Bankcoop S.A., the Bank Deposit Guarantee Fund had to pay compensations to 467,993 depositors, natural persons.
Payment of compensations began on 12 April 2000 and ended on 11 April 2003 by law. The payments actually performed amounted to ROL 2,732,360,571,783, accounting for 99.2% of total obligations.
