The National Bank of Romania will launch, for numismatic purposes, a set of coins and a medal with the year of issue 2007 dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Rodna Mountains National Park.

Starting October 2007, the National Bank of Romania will launch, for numismatic purposes, a set of coins and a medal with the year of issue 2007 dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Rodna Mountains National Park.
The mint set comprises Romanian coins in circulation, with face values of 1 ban, 5 bani, 10 bani and 50 bani, as well as a silver medal with the following characteristics:
- purity: 800/1000;
- weight: 15.5 grams;
- diameter: 28 mm;
- edge: flat.
Obverse: of the medal features a Lychnis nivalis flower to the left, a landscape from the Rodna Mountains in the upper part, and the text "PARCUL NATIONAL MUNTII RODNEI" in the lower part.
Reverse: displays a marmot (Marmota marmota) to the right, a mountain landscape and a chamois (Rupicapra rupicapra) to the left, and the text "75 DE ANI DE LA INFIINTARE 1932 - 2007" in the lower part.
Both the medal and the coins are of proof quality.
The set comes in the form of a booklet placed in a container and the pieces are embedded in special slots.
The numismatic issue consists of 1,000 pieces.
The selling price is RON 85/set, VAT excluded.
The National Bank of Romania branches in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iaşi and Timişoara are in charge of putting into circulation, for numismatic purposes, the mint set with the year of issue 2007.
