Today, 14 April 2008, the NBR senior officials met with representatives of the executive management of the National Union of Notaries Public in Romania at the central bank's head office.
The meeting focused on issues relative to improving the co-operation framework with a view to ensuring the exchange of statistical data pertaining to real-estate transactions carried out in Romania.
The statistical data will be used by the National Bank of Romania in conducting analyses destined to assess financial stability.
Mention should be made that, starting with 2006, the National Bank of Romania publishes an annual report on financial stability. The paper analyses financial system developments in Romania, the main channels for the transmission of the impact on this system and the manner in which the dynamics of the financial system influences other economic sectors.
