Numismatic issue dedicated to the anniversary of 130 years since the adoption of the first law on building a National Cathedral

Pursuant to the provisions of Law No. 312/2004 on the Statute of the National Bank of Romania, on 21 November 2014, the National Bank of Romania will put into circulation, for numismatic purposes, a gold coin dedicated to the anniversary of 130 years since the adoption of the first law on building a National Cathedral.
The coin has the following technical characteristics:

- Metal: gold
- Fineness: 999‰
- Shape: round
- Diameter: 27 mm
- Weight: 15.551 g
- Quality: proof
- Edge: flat
Obverse: the image of the scale model of the Romanian People’s Salvation Cathedral, the coat of arms of Romania, the face value “200 LEI”, the year of issue “2014”, the inscriptions “CATEDRALA MANTUIRII NEAMULUI” and “ROMANIA”.
Reverse: the icon and the name of St. Andrew the Apostle, the patron saint of Romania, the coat of arms of the Romanian Patriarchate, the inscriptions “PATRIARHIA ROMANA”, “130 DE ANI DE LA PRIMA LEGE DE CONSTRUIRE A CATEDRALEI” and “1884” – the celebrated year.
The gold coins are individually housed in transparent plastic capsules. They are accompanied by leaflets featuring a presentation of the numismatic issue in Romanian, English and French.
Each leaflet comes with a certificate of authenticity bearing the signatures of the Governor and the Chief Cashier of the National Bank of Romania.
The mintage of this numismatic issue is 600 coins.
The selling price is lei 3,080.00, VAT excluded, per gold coin, including the leaflet.
The gold coins dedicated to the anniversary of 130 years since the adoption of the first law on building a National Cathedral are legal tender on the territory of Romania.
The gold coins will be put into circulation through the regional branches of the National Bank of Romania in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iaşi and Timişoara.
