B. Other income

In addition to the monthly salary, other income is paid on an annual basis, as follows:

• Holiday entitlement – 100% of net monthly salary;
• Other entitlements equivalent to 1.8 net monthly salaries at most;
• An amount related to employees’ participation in the profit-sharing scheme – depending on the amount to be distributed, in compliance with Article 43 of Law No. 312/2004.

At the termination of the individual employment contract, in line with Article 56 para. (1) letter c) of Law No. 53/2003 on the Labour Code, recast, as subsequently amended and supplemented, NBR staff members receive a retirement benefit amounting to 12 salaries, calculated based on the last salary paid, provided they have had at least 12 years of uninterrupted service at the NBR prior to fulfilling the legal requirements for the termination of the individual employment contract.

As concerns the members of the staff with less than 12 years of uninterrupted service at the NBR prior to fulfilling the legal requirements for the termination of the individual employment contract, the retirement benefit is granted as follows:

• between 3 and 6 years – 3 salaries;
• between 9 and 9 years – 6 salaries;
• between 9 and 12 years – 9 salaries.

II. Non-executive Board members

The non-executive members of the NBR Board, i.e. Csaba Balint, Gheorghe Gherghina, Cristian Popa, Dan-Radu Ruşanu, Virgiliu-Jorj Stoenescu, receive a net monthly emolument of lei 23.920 for holding the position of Board member.

They may also receive other income in accordance with the law.

In addition to the income listed in point I.B, the members of the staff may receive an annual performance bonus, based on the individual score resulting from the performance review.  

The NBR Board members do not receive a performance bonus.
